Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth over Rs 14,000 crore in Varanasi on February 23. He will reach his parliamentary constituency on 22 February.
According to Kashi region BJP president Dilip Patel, BJP workers will welcome the Prime Minister when he exits the airport on Thursday evening. From the airport to the Banaras Locomotive Work (BLW) Guest House, BJP workers and citizens will shower flowers on PM Modi amidst the sound of damru and conch shells being played by the Damru team.
On February 23, PM Modi will attend an event at Swatantra Bhawan of BHU, where he will give certificates to the toppers of the Sansad Sanskrit competition.
After this, PM Modi will go to Sant Ravidas temple in Seergovardhan where he will worship Sant Ravidas and take prasad in langar (community feast). He will also unveil a statue of Sant Ravidas in the temple complex and address a public meeting.

Inauguration
During PM’s visit, Banas Kashi Sankul Dairy will be inaugurated in Karkhiyawan, renovation and expansion of Sigra Stadium, charcoal plant from waste generated in Ramna and Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg will be inaugurated.
Modi may meet BJP workers on 22 February
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a meeting with top officials of BJP Kashi region and Varanasi district as soon as he reaches Kashi on February 22. Although this meeting is not a part of the plan yet, but BJP Kashi region has kept its plan ready.
Asked whether PM Modi would hold a meeting with party workers from Kashi during his proposed visit, Kashi region BJP president Dilip Patel said, “There are no such plans as of now. But if such an instruction comes from PM Modi, it will be a matter of great joy for us.
